Organic Pastures PhotoProfile: OPDC is the visionary result of five generations of innovative farming and pioneering dairy endeavors of the McAfee family. Since the 1950’s, McAfee Farms has been a leading advocate of nature-friendly farm practices. In 1988, the farms began their transition to organic, and by 2000 Organic Pastures Dairy Company had become California’s first certified organic raw milk dairy and creamery. The dairy is located near Fresno, California, in the heart of the fertile San Joaquin Valley, and is the only family owned and operated certified organic raw milk dairy in California.

The constant push for the highest food quality and food safety is at the very heart of OPDC. OPDC has a diverse team that works continuously on their RAMP plan to ensure compliance and excellence. As an added measure, OPDC engages an internal auditor to double check and verify compliance. OPDC loves visitors and offers farm tours and educational outreach events throughout the year. OPDC raw milk, cream, butter, kefir, cheese, almonds and beef can be found in 400 retail stores and farmers markets throughout California. It is OPDC’s passion to provide the best quality raw milk in California and serve its thousands of healthy customers.
